EDU 3103 Education Field-Based Experience ( Science)

Students are required to take this field-based course while enrolled in EDU 3326. In this course,  students observe and assist elementary and/or middle school certified science teachers in area school settings for a minimum of 15 hours.  During their time in classrooms, practicum students are expected to observe and reflect on research-based pedagogical strategies, instructional resources and technology, classroom management, child development, differentiated instruction, special populations, and assessment. Practicum students are also expected to engage with and assist students, take field notes, and write reflections. Orientation precedes the field experience.
