PSY 3V56 Primate Studies
Hands-on research conducted at the Dallas Zoo. Students become official zoo volunteers assigned to the Research Department. Faculty conduct seminars on classic texts as well as research articles. Students develop ethograms of selected species and participate in the collection and recording of data pertaining to the behavior of primate species within their habitats (chimpanzees, gorillas, gibbons, spider monkeys, baboons, lemurs).
