POL 3336 Comparative Politics

Comparative Politics is the study of domestic political phenomena. It studies and compare politics in different countries in order to arrive at more general knowledge about the nature of politics — including topics such as the varieties of democracy and of dictatorship and the economic, social, and historical causes of those varieties. The class will cover a variety of topics and will draw on case studies of countries such as the United States, Great Britain, Russia, China, India, Iran, Nigeria, and others.
