4+1 in English
Braniff’s 4+1 program allows English majors to continue their studies, earning a B.A. and an M.A. in a shorter period of time. Up to four approved graduate courses taken during senior year may count toward the M.A.
Interested students should contact their undergraduate advisor and the English master’s graduate director by the spring semester of their junior year.

Senior Year Options
- Up to four graduate courses (12 credit hours) beyond the requirements for the bachelor’s degree with final grades of B or higher
- 3000-level foreign language course with a final grade of B or higher

- Thesis, 6 credit hours
- 24 additional credit hours, minus approved graduate credits taken during senior year
