Concentration in Drama

The Drama Concentration offers an opportunity for non-drama majors to expand and further their knowledge and experience in Drama in addition to their major program of study.

Courses

Concentration Requirements

Students must complete the following course requirements with a minimum of 15 earned hours:

DRA 3310Theater History

Two (2) courses selected from the following:

DRA 3301Acting

3

DRA 3312Stage Craft

3

DRA 3313Stage Design

3

DRA 3332Basic Staging

Students must also take either:

DRA 3335Theater Literature I

Or

DRA 3336Theater Literature II

In addition, students must participate in at least three (3) productions produced by University Theater for credit, as follows:

DRA 1101Theater Arts Workshop

DRA 3V57Special Topics in Drama

1-6

DRA 4142Studio Rehearsal and Production

DRA 1101: Must be taken at least twice (2).

DRA 3V57: May be substituted for DRA 1101.
