Campus Dining Services

“Dining on campus is an integral part of resident life. All campus residents are required to participate in a meal plan based on their academic classification. Meal plans can be used at Haggar Cafe and Declining Balance at Frassati's, Dumb Ox, and Cap Bar, giving students access to a variety of dining experiences across campus. Haggar Cafe features an all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experience with rotating menus, monthly themed meals, and special events throughout the year. Frassati's offers additional dining options, including B+F (Burgers & Fries), a rotating restaurant concept featuring a variety of culinary experiences, and Rising Roll, serving fresh sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go favorites. Come to Dumb Ox for made to order grill items, as well as some snack items and bottled beverage. Cap Bar is UD’s very own coffee bar where you can enjoy your favorite coffee while hanging out with your fellow students.

For students who live off campus, Dining Services offers meal plan options specifically designed for the commuter lifestyle and budget. These plans provide a convenient way to enjoy meals between classes, study sessions, campus activities, and work commitments while maximizing time spent on campus.

All meal plan participants receive Declining Balance, a flexible dining account that can be used at campus dining locations for added convenience and purchasing power. Additional funds may be added at any time, allowing students and families to customize their dining experience to best meet their needs throughout the academic year.

Understanding that every student has unique dietary needs and preferences, the Dining Services team works individually with students to accommodate special dietary requirements whenever possible.

The cost of meal plans is listed in the Fees and Expenses section of the Bulletin. UD Dining Services also serves as the campus caterer for special events, including weddings, receptions, and campus gatherings.
