Master of Theology
Degree Requirements
- Thirty graduate credits in Theology. A maximum of twelve credits may be earned in 5000 level, cross-listed courses (THE 5301–5310).
- Written and oral comprehensive examinations generally covering course work.
Notes on Requirements
- For information on transfer credits, please refer to “Graduate School Policies” in the “Braniff Graduate School of Liberal Arts” section.
- Coursework for both Master’s programs, the M.A. and the M.Th., must include at least one course from each of the four sub-disciplines in theology: Scriptural, Historical, Systematic, and Moral. In case of doubt, the chair can specify to which area a course belongs.
- There are different sets of written and oral comprehensive examinations for the M.A. and for the M.Th. The M.Th. reading list depends upon the coursework taken and is developed in consultation with each professor with whom one took a course. For instructions, please contact the Chair. These exams are usually taken upon completion of the required course work.
