Classroom Code of Conduct

All University of Dallas Colleges / Schools

Respect for learning, for professors, staff and fellow students is to be shown at all times in all learning environments.

Faculty members establish and enforce expectations for student conduct in their classrooms in addition to the standards established by the Student Code of Conduct. Expectations for classroom
conduct should be provided on the course syllabus at the start of the semester. Faculty members may take action to enforce their expectations for student classroom conduct including removing a student from class for a limited time. Faculty may also refer students to the Dean of Students or the Dean of the College / School to consider whether classroom conduct may have violated the Student Code of Conduct. Students are expected not to engage in conduct that endangers others or is considered disorderly, lewd or indecent. Students are also expected to speak in a way that is courteous and respectful to both the professor and other students.
