PSY 6324 Theories of Counseling
Major theoretical approaches to the practice of counseling and psychotherapy are examined. The course places special emphasis on the key assumptions of various applied theories, the role of clinical assessment, the stages of therapy, the role of the therapeutic relationship and the goals and strategies to effect therapeutic change including the application of evidence based practice to psychotherapy.
