PHI 7340 Philosophy of God

A metaphysical study of the highest knowable reality, God. Topics such as arguments for the existence of God; ways of approaching God in thought (e.g., the ways of causality, negation and eminence); attributes of God; the relationship between God and the world; language suitable for speaking about God; historical factors contributing to the development of human thinking about God; objections to the existence of God, especially in relation to naturalism and the problem of evil.
