MSP 4374 Mexican Literature

A study of the interplay between literature and the arts in Mexico since the late nineteenth century. Some attention is given to the influence of the Mexican Revolution. Authors read are chosen from the following: José Rubén Romero, Gregorio López y Fuentes, Mariano Azuela, Alfonso Reyes, Agustín Yáñez, Juan Rulfo, Juan José Arreolo, Octavio Paz, Elena Garro and Carlos Fuentes.
