TMIN 6335 Ecclesiology
This course provides students with an introduction to the theology of the church as it developed from the writing of the New Testament to the contemporary period. Special attention will be given to the development of a systematic doctrine of the church in the modern period, including the conciliar teachings of Vatican I and Vatican II. As participation in the mission of the church is the call of all the faithful by virtue of their baptism, the course will also focus on the ways in which the life and mission of the church provide the foundation for practical theology and a theology of ministry.
