PSY 3328 Psychology Of Adolescence
Consideration of selected themes as they relate to adolescent experiences, including rebellion, caring, infatuation, peer group rejection, loneliness and sexuality. Emphasis on the methodology of understanding these phenomena on their own terms and as experiences with a deeply psychological nature, which deepens the significance of these phenomena in relation to questions of culture. Presentation of influential theories of adolescence such as those of Harry Stack Sullivan, Erik Erikson and Carol Gilligan.
