Master of Pastoral Ministry
Degree Requirements
The master’s degree in pastoral ministry is designed to equip those who wish to serve in parishes, dioceses or other ministerial settings with the appropriate theological knowledge and pastoral skills. Given the particular nature of ministry, students are required to have a ministry specific concentration which will allow for the study and practice in a defined ministry field.
The concentrations available are:
Campus Ministry
Church Management
Health Care Ministry
Youth Ministry
Other M.P.M. concentrations may be designed with the consultation and express prior written approval of the student’s adviser and the graduate director.
The Master of Pastoral Ministry requires:
- 22 credits of core courses
- 9 credits in ministry courses including internship and capstone
- 6 elective credits
- Completion of the annotated bibliography (NSOM 6099)
