About the Master of Leadership
The Master of Leadership is a multidisciplinary program that brings together principles of the liberal arts, history and social sciences, and business with such courses as The Craft of Leadership, Critical and Strategic Thinking, Social Psychology, Story-telling as a Mode of Thinking, and Business and Society. The program is designed for executives and leaders at all levels and in various kinds of organizations, including private industry, public enterprise, schools, and non-profit organizations and groups. The degree requires 30 credits, including a 3-credit capstone project class.
The program’s mission is to provide the essential tools and strategic understanding to succeed as a leader in various kinds of organizations, including private industry, public enterprise, schools, and non-profit organizations and groups. With a focus on ethics, strategic insight, and clarity in communication, the Master of Leadership develops leaders who lead with integrity and innovate with vision. It is designed to acquaint students with “the virtues of mind and heart which are constitutive of excellence in their life’s work” as leaders.
Admission Requirements
Application for admission includes a completed online application form, one or two letters of recommendation, a personal and professional goals essay, a résumé and official transcripts sent directly to the Braniff Graduate Office from each college or university attended by the applicant (even if no credit or degree was earned). Completion of a bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite to admission.
