BIO 2416 Field Ecology

An introduction to ecological studies and their associated techniques. Students will become acquainted with field techniques used for studying plants, animals, water, and soils. Students also learn to collect and analyze ecological data sets. Students will develop an independent field research project and will provide both a written and oral presentation of their findings. Field experience will take place in Texas with a particular focus on the Blackland Prairie and Cross Timbers Forest habitats.
