THE 7099 Pastoral Practice: Itinerancy
"Itinerancy" in accord with the pastoral and spiritual program of formation for the seminarians of Redemptoris Mater Seminary, provides specialized training for seminarians planning to serve as missionaries. The course requires full-time engagement in learning and practicing the skills necessary to catechize and lead small Christian communities. Students in the course will work under the supervision of the missionary practice director. Missionary sites are ordinarily located at a distance from the university. Seminarians of Redemptoris Mater Seminary are expected to work with missionary teams of the Neocatechumenal Way for a minimum of two years. This course will be repeated each semester of the itinerancy a minimum of 4 times.
