CLG 3331 Euripides

This course will read one of the fully extant plays of Euripides in Greek, investigating such topics as the mechanics of ancient performance, tragedy as a means of exploring human nature, and man’s relationship to the city, the nature of the tragic genre, and the historical environment in which the play was composed.
