Degree Requirements

The purpose of the Catholic School Leadership program is to prepare prospective and current Catholic school principals for the effective execution of the responsibilities of administrators in Catholic schools.

The Master of Catholic School Leadership (M.C.S.L.) degree combines 15 credit hours of pastoral and theological studies with 21 credit hours of courses in Catholic School Leadership. Together, these courses bring the light of faith to the task of effective leadership in a Catholic school.

In addition to the required Theology/Ministry courses listed above, students are required to consult with their Catholic School Leadership advisor to choose 1 elective course. Suggested electives include TMIN 5360 Liturgy and Sacraments, TMIN 5340 Church History, TMIN 5370 Theological Reflection.
