Course Withdrawal
Withdrawal from the university must be with written permission of an Academic Dean. For undergraduates, withdrawal from a course requires advisor and Professor signatures. Students are not permitted to withdraw from courses past the withdrawal deadline in the 12th week of the semester. Courses that meet on a special calendar have a separate withdrawal deadline.
Graduate business students should consult the Add/Drop/Withdrawal Policy for the Gupta College of Business.
A “medical withdrawal” means a withdrawal during the withdrawal period from one or more classes for medical reasons that are certified by a personal physician or by the University Health Center or University Counseling Center. A student may request a medical withdrawal at any time after the add/drop period has ended and receive the MW designation for those courses on the official academic transcript, by submitting documentation to the appropriate Dean.
