TECH 7372 Enterprise Architecture

An enterprise architecture (EA) supports enterprise-wide information technology resource design and provides a blueprint that links strategy to processes, data applications, and infrastructure, thereby integrating the organization top-to-bottom for improved information, communication, and decision-making. Needs analysis provides the basis for determining the most effective type of EA. This course examines the theory, principles, best practices and common frameworks applied to development of an EA and builds on them to discuss how to develop an EA for an organization through a practical exercise. EA scalability, standardization, measurement, and assessment for different size organizations are explored.
