MSP 3336 Introduction to Theory and Translation
This class is an exciting advanced Spanish course designed to provide you with an active and rewarding learning experience as students continue to strengthen the language skills and develop cultural competency. Advanced Translation aims to build confidence and fluency by encouraging students to translate and take part in practical activities. Emphasis is on language skills: specialized terminology, writing, reading, and translating. In this class, students will explore the history, theory, and practice of translation. They will practice the techniques of legal, medical, business, and literary translation. Students will improve their knowledge of English and Spanish syntaxes, morphologies, and lexicography.
