TPAS 2120 Pastoral Ministry Practicum

. A one credit course which focuses on serving as volunteers in a pastoral ministry setting with experienced supervision. Students commit to serve an average of 3 hours/week for 9 weeks. The first two weeks of the semester would include a brief orientation to the practicum. Students would meet in small groups once at mid-semester and once toward the end of the semester to reflect on their experiences. Practicum sites could include parishes, schools, diocesan agencies and programs, religious houses, institutions served by the Diocese of Dallas (jails, hospitals, etc.), the Dallas Ministry Conference, and others.
