TMIN 7374 Advanced Homiletics II
The homily as a reflection on the mystery of faith, as expressed in the Scriptural texts appointed for the various liturgical celebrations, as well as in “the joys and the hopes, the griefs and the anxieties of the men [and women] of this age” (Gaudium et spes, 1), will be the focus of this course in preaching. Students will analyze the resources provided them by the lectionary, and will have ample opportunity to deliver practice homilies, and to have those homilies evaluated by their peers and their professor.
