Pre-Veterinary

The curriculum below has been designed to prepare the undergraduate for as many veterinary schools as possible by fulfilling the most common graduate prerequisites:

Biology 8 credits
General/Inorganic Chemistry 8 credits
Organic Chemistry 8 credits
Biochemistry 4 credits
Physics 8 credits
Genetics 4 credits
Microbiology 4 credits
Anatomy 4 credits
Physiology 4 credits
Animal Nutrition 3 credits
Speech/Communication 3 credits
Calculus 4 credits
Biostatistics 3 credits

Because the University of Dallas does not currently have an Animal Nutrition and Communication course, both credits must be earned by correspondence or through another university. Veterinary schools will advise which course of action is satisfactory for their prerequisites. These credits may be fulfilled either during the school year or the summer break.
