PSY 5337 Cultural Psychology and Multicultural Studies
Study of psychological phenomena as embodied in institutions, social practices and artifacts; a consideration of hermeneutics and social constructionism as approaches to the social world, with emphasis on the embodiment of human existence in both the perceptual appearance of the world and in shaping the world through human action. The multiple universes defined by gender, race, class, nationality and social geography are brought into dialogue with contemporary professional practice.
