4+1 in Psychology
Braniff’s 4+1 program allows Psychology majors to continue their studies, earning a B.A. and a Master of Psychology or a Master of Arts in Psychology in a shorter period of time. Up to four approved graduate courses taken during senior year may count toward the master’s degree.
Interested students should contact their undergraduate advisor and the Psychology graduate director by the spring semester of their junior year.

Senior Year Options
- Up to four graduate courses (12 credit hours) beyond the requirements for the bachelor’s degree with final grades of B or higher
- Master of Arts only: 3000-level language course with a final grade of B or higher
Master of Psychology
- Comprehensive examination
- 30 credit hours or 48 credit hours with clinical concentration, minus approved graduate credits taken during senior year
Master of Arts in Psychology
- Comprehensive examination
- Thesis, 6 credit hours
- 42 additional credit hours, minus approved graduate credits taken during senior year
