4+1 in Education

Plan Overview

Braniff’s 4+1 program allows Education majors to continue their studies, earning a B.A. and an M.A.T. in a shorter period of time. Two approved graduate courses taken during the senior year may count toward the M.A.T.

 

Interested students should contact their undergraduate advisor and the Education master’s graduate director by the spring semester of their junior year.

Senior Year Options

  • Up to two graduate courses (6 hours) beyond the requirements for the bachelor’s degree with final grades of B or higher.

Master of Arts in Teaching

  • Clinical teaching/internship experience

  • 30 hours total (minus 6 approved graduate credits taken during senior year)
