4 + 1 Programs

The 4+1 program allows undergraduate students to complete both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a master’s degree in as little as five years. Students declare intent for the 4+1 program in their junior/senior year and then submit an application to the graduate program located in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. Students are allowed to take up to four graduate level courses (12 credits) in addition to any required foundation courses while completing their BA/BS. The graduate credits are in addition to the 120/133 credits required for graduation with the BA/BS. Upon graduation with the BA/BS degree and a cumulative 3.0 GPA the student would continue in the graduate program and complete additional credits for the master’s degree. If your degree is in a major other than business, you are still eligible for the 4+1 but may be required to take up to four foundation courses in addition to the required MBA/MS classes for the degree. See the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Constantin for a degree plan outlining both your undergraduate and graduate work.
