Section 504 and Americans with Disabilities Act

The University of Dallas welcomes students, faculty, staff, and visitors with disabilities. The university affirms St. John Paul II’s observation that “people with disabilities must be enabled to participate in social life as far as they can, and helped to fulfill all their physical, psychological and spiritual potential.”  The university will provide reasonable accommodations to facilitate applicants, students, employees and guests with disabilities access to and participation in university programs, events, classes and administrative activities.

University Accessibility Services serves a coordinating role in the university’s efforts to provide an accessible environment for all who come to the university. For additional information or to submit a complaint, please contact the Director of Civil Rights and Title IX,

University departments sponsoring events that are open to the public must include as part of the event announcement the clause: To request a disability-related accommodation or wheelchair access information, please contact the Director of Civil Rights and Title IX preferably at least a week in advance of the event.  You can also find more information at udallas.edu/accessibility.   The university will provide reasonable accommodation to those requesting assistance.
