Double-counting courses
Some courses may be applied toward more than one academic program, or double-counted.
As a rule, two courses are allowed to be double-counted toward a double-major, or a major and concentration(s). Core courses are not considered to be double-counted.
The Dean may grant a student permission to double-count more than two, and up to four, courses. In order to inform the Dean’s decision, the student must submit a justification, a degree plan, and a list of courses to be double-counted.
Because of significant overlap between some majors/concentrations and limited numbers of courses available, some double-major combinations or majors with concentration may not be possible.
